Volkswagen resumed production of automotive parts at its factories in Brunswick, Kassel, Salzgit, and Hanover, Germany earlier this month. In addition, Volkswagen's overseas factories located in countries such as Portugal, Spain, Russia, South Africa, and the Czech Republic are expected to resume production this week. Volkswagen's factory in Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA is expected to resume production on May 3rd. To prevent the spread of the epidemic, the public requires employees to take their temperature before they can start work. Employees should change into work clothes at home in advance to avoid overcrowding in the changing rooms of the factory. Employees should maintain a distance of at least 1.5 meters from each other and increase cleaning and disinfection time in the factory.

Except for Volkswagen, French car manufacturers such as Renault and Peugeot are all working to resume production. On the 27th, American media reported that automobile companies such as General Motors, Ford, and Fiat Chrysler have been striving for partial resumption of production since March. These car companies are starting to discuss with the United Automobile Workers Union of America to develop a set of safety production standards to prevent the epidemic, and as of the 27th, details have not been agreed upon.
